My Fitness Journey: How I Became a Top Personal Trainer in Oklahoma City

My journey started young. At 10, I was short and overweight. By the time I hit my teens, I had shot up to 6 feet tall but dropped to just 120 pounds — skinny, insecure, and constantly bullied. I knew I had to make a change. I filled milk jugs with water for weights and started training right at home. That small spark of effort fueled a lifelong passion for fitness.

In high school, I wrestled and lifted weights, but my progress was slow. Like many, I got caught in a cycle of overtraining, gym bro myths, and frustrating plateaus. I pushed hard, burned out, and repeated the cycle — wasting years with no real plan.

Eventually, I realized what I needed was a coach — someone who could have saved me time and helped me avoid the mistakes I kept repeating. That realization became the foundation for my approach as a trainer today.

How I Became a Certified Personal Trainer in OKC

In 2022, I took the leap and turned that passion into a profession. I became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and started coaching clients at a commercial gym. Since then, I’ve earned six NASM certifications including:
